To those who've left me messages and haven't heard from me yet, don't worry. You guys don't have a body to identify from the ruins just yet. I've just been (horribly) busy -- running errands I never had the time to complete before. But I'm happy to report that I am smiling from ear to ear. Just 'cause. duh. June's a'coming and part of what's keeping me busy is my 24th birthday party (or the lack of a party thereof). Since it falls on a Wednesday, I'm not sure whether to gather the troops the Saturday before or after the 18th (Dad's birthday on the 21st). But like previous birthdays, I will be starting the day with a (ridiculously) early mass. And like previous birthdays, I reckon the sniffles won't be far from the agenda. good sniffles, that is. =D
It's going to be hard topping last night's Asian premiere of Pushing Daisies. I'm such a big fan of Amelie that I ended up not watching Gossip Girl (happy, Chuckie?). I wonder how the f-word they'll sustain the plot though. Maybe it'll be driven "Will Ned and Chuck ever get to hold hands...ever?" Nonetheless, I got the heebee-jeebee goosebumps in last night's episode -- and actually went "Awww..." This is why I love TV.
i still find it creepy when i sing to songs from the 70's and 80's. more so when i get the lyrics right. my ipod is updated as it could be. but it's trying to tell me something.
Just got official word this morning that we're going to Chicago this Saturday. !@#%^*(()_**$#)$^#%#&)^^%&*$@$@$ it's going to be a short stay in the Windy City. just exchanged a couple of messages with Kuya Mike in Boston and since I'm going straight home on the 26th, I'll only have time to meet with Kuya John John (paging Kuya Vince or kung sino ang magpapadala kay Kuya John John) if and when the schedule permits. so forgive me if i don't reply promptly to your emails/cellphone messages.

days without cigarettes: seven this isn't the first time i've (tried to) quit smoking, but i think i can sustain it this time. i'm not doing it for another person (hmph!) nor am i doing it out of kicks. just something to challenge me (as if i'm not under enough stress as it is). for the two or three of you who really know me, i thrive on challenges. case in point, sept 06 to aug 07. i can do this, i can do this. once i break the 30-day mark (ambitious!), i'll try to celebrate. yes, fire might be involved, but no cigarettes allowed.
but i'm dead tired. i need more sleep. i want to stay in bed (weather-permitting) all Saturday. knowing i've to practice da moves from the last two weeks isn't comforting, but eh. i didn't hit myself too much last night, thank God. just several bonks at the back of my head and at the back of my legs. other than that, it was definitely a better night than last wednesday--particularly because i didn't hit my nose from an unfortunate angle. i can move my arms and my shoulders freely, but my back is killing me. something to do with my sleeping position, i guess. too bad them ergonomic mattresses are damn expensive. i know some of you are a bit disappointed i've been chain smoking again (this is SOOOO not the reason why i lost weight), and i received some odd messages from people who looked at my photo albums knowing i have a cigarette in my hand. so here goes: days without cigarettes: two. and yes, i did tell my mother i smoked like a chimney. she's watching me like a hawk, that woman. let's see how this experiment goes. *does the finger pyramid of evil*
